About & contact

RailBookingDate.in is a free, independent tool that tells you exactly when train ticket booking opens for your journey, so you can be ready at 8:00 AM when seats go fast.

How the calculator works

• Advance reservation opens 60 days before the journey, not counting the journey day, at 8:00 AM IST.
• On that first day, only Aadhaar-verified IRCTC accounts can book online. Other accounts can book from the next day.
• Tatkal opens one day before the journey: 10:00 AM IST for AC classes, 11:00 AM IST for non-AC classes.
• Dates are based on when the train leaves its starting station. If you board midway, use that date.

These rules were last checked in October 2026. Railways can change them at short notice, so always confirm on irctc.co.in before you book.

Not affiliated with IRCTC

This site is not run by, endorsed by, or connected to IRCTC or Indian Railways. It does not sell tickets. To book, use the official IRCTC website or app.
